At Stepping Stones “we work and recover” – our employment rate is 100% with an average of 2 days to find placement. Initial jobs typically pay $13-$15/hr, and quickly rises to $20/hr after 90days. The average income of our residents is over $3,000 per month. Huntsville is a thriving community with an economy unparalleled in the state.
Stepping Stones provides mentorship on how to be an effective employee by fostering punctuality, work ethic, being trustworthy and responsible. We understand that not everyone coming into our housing is financially healthy, and needs support in gaining employment. Residents may work at an employer of their choosing and we encourage continuing education and professional skill development. However, we emphasize this is secondary to our primary mission of recovery from substance abuse.
Stepping Stones is committed to finding employment with dignity for all our residents, and our experience shows this is a critical factor in our clients’ success. If a resident is not willing to work and requires longer term treatment, Stepping Stones is not the community for you.
